“Being a travel enthusiast, I remember looking through websites for the different types of accommodation they would offer in my desired destination. Perusing through the pictures would only make it harder. As the founder & CEO of the GCG Cambodia travel website, my main intention was to reduce the rate of scams that would occur with people looking to travel or booking homestays. 

As my company grew bigger, I began to look deep into the kind of ‘struggles’ I would have when I wanted to travel. I felt that this would make me more relatable to my customers and have better customer service, hence the creation of GCG Cambodia. GCG Cambodia is an extension of GCG Asia Travel Cambodia. 

Think of it like the west wing in a mansion. Both fall under the same roof, yet serve two different purposes which in turn help aid the function of the other. GCG Cambodia makes work easier because it narrows down hotels in a consumer’s price range as well as their desired accommodation. 

As the founder of both GCG Asia Travel Cambodia and GCG Cambodia, I wanted to drive for comfort. I also wanted to be able to serve each and everyone. I wanted to serve all classes. Being a realist, I knew GCG Asia Travel Cambodia was not able to serve certain social classes hence my creation, GCG Cambodia. I learnt that greed only drives away your customers and you as a business owner into a deep whole. I then decided to come up with GCG Cambodia where many needs would be catered for. GCG Cambodia caters for all the affordable prices that entail travelling. From accommodation to flight tickets, tour guides once you have reached your destination, food, basically everything,” says GCG Asia founder, Sokholm Visal. 

We believe that creating GCG Cambodia as a wing to GCG Asia Travel Cambodia was one of the best decisions we ever made. It caters to consumers’ budget, uniqueness and luxury. As you know, it is hard to find the most suitable budget rental that has no challenges however we have managed to partner up with certain rental homes that can cater to each and every social class. 

From students, to work colleagues and families, we have suitable and desirable homestay rentals that can fit each and everyone’s needs. Each of the rentals have a uniqueness to them from bamboo made windows and floors to staircases. “When we chose to partner up with other homestays, a lot of thought went into it. There was intention behind it. We wanted our consumers to feel as though they were home away from home so we partnered up with homestays that catered to our consumers desires and enabled them to have a good time within their budget. We also considered location. As a traveller, I prefer close-by accommodation. What do I mean? I would look for the simplest things when I would travel. One thing that mattered to me most was the distance from the airport to the accommodation. This is because I would sometimes travel long distances. 

With GCG Cambodia, I had this in mind. I made sure our consumers were able to choose where they wanted to stay and paired it up with the certain activities they would like to do in that particular area of choice. I wanted to show that our consumers could be satisfied and get great homestays at really affordable prices, ” says GCG Asia founder, Sokholm Visal. 

GCG Cambodia also likes to promote and support the local community. This is in terms of craftsmanship. There are many rentals that are beautiful and bring out the Cambodian culture. GCG Cambodia highly appreciated the local craftsmanship.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word GCG Withdrawal? I’m sure you are wondering how this can also pertain to a campaign? I first founded GCG Asia Cambodia because I fell victim to a scam in Malaysia and had the hope of preventing family members and other people from going through the inconvenience and trauma that I did. This is why GCG Asia has customer service excellence embedded into our work culture. This is how GCG Asia works and it always will as long as I’m the GCG CEO.

By building GCG Asia, I also wanted to build trust between my clients and I. I manage to interact with many people on a daily basis and get to hear their experiences with my travel company as well as outside of GCG Asia Cambodia. Let’s just say that I have not been the only scam victim. Despite being a legit scam victim I learnt how to navigate the travel world and make worthy investments whether in the travel sector or other business sectors and this is why I am launching the GCG Withdrawal campaign.

The purpose of the GCG Withdrawal campaign is to educate people on how to establish legit and worthy investments as well as avoid scams. Just like it’s name, GCG Withdrawal educates on when to withdraw money to invest or when to withdraw your money from an investment.

But first, what are travel investments? The truth is many do not think of travel as an investment and I used to fall into that category. Making a travel investment can be securing or putting money away to enjoy and explore particular destinations or set up a travel camp like I did. With all this being said and done, the GCG Withdrawal campaign urges strongly that when making any sort of investments, we still have to remember why it is important to evaluate your business making decision as that will not only determine the value of your investment but will also propel the return on investment.

Is the place you are going to visit really worth it? Whether you’re going to Singapore, Cambodia, Japan, Malaysia, or other Asian capitals, will the travel company you desire to launch succeed?
